The Big Board is a restaurant in Washington DC. It can easily be any restaurant in any liberal-run city forcing mask and vaccine mandates on businesses. Restaurant owners throughout America are struggling with price increases thanks to Joe Biden's inflation and the people who voted for Joe Biden. Restaurant owners in liberal cities where Democratic politicians mandate policies that discriminate against medical choices have a whole extra burden. Eric Flannery decided he wasn't going to comply.
As he stands next to Sen. Rand Paul and Rep. Thomas Massie, listen to all the city did in retaliation.
"My servers, they are not lesser people. They don't need to be masked. They don't carry disease."
“We're not doing anything wrong here. [...] I just know that I’m doing the right thing and this place is supposed to be open."
Flannery should consider himself lucky. At least the health inspector didn't dance while pulling his license like they do in Los Angeles. Just saying, things could be worse.
Flannery couldn't be more reasonable. He even said if the government wants to check vaccine cards, that's up to them. He just wasn't going to do it and doesn't even have the staff to do it if he wanted to. But you see, the government knows that makes them the bad guys. They also know they can't do that. That's why they want to put the burden on small businesses to do their dirty work. Threatening those small businesses if they don't comply with the government shiny new mandates. All while the elected officials forcing the mandates on you and your children ignore them at every opportunity.
Rep. Massie told the Daily Caller "each person I think needs to push back to the ability of their means.” That's the least we all should be doing.
