If you were looking forward to seeing Joe Rogan calling the action at UFC 271, get used to disappointment. It was announced on Friday that due to a "scheduling conflict,' Rogan will not be at the event.
If you think that sounds fishy, you fall into the category of literally everyone. It's a major UFC show and at no point prior to when Rogan would be introducing fighters for the weigh-in was their talk of him not being on the broadcast. There was no talk of Rogan not being there during the press conference when UFC champion Israel Adesanya gave a strong and vocal defense of the embattled podcaster. Yet, at the last minute, there was a scheduling conflict. For a show in Houston. When Rogan lives in Austin. And could have borrowed Alex Jones's helicopter, if necessary.
I'd like to think Dana White isn't the one who has made the call. He's been very public in defending Rogan through all the other controversies and is at least against wokeness seeping into sports when on camera. It's more likely that Disney happened. The UFC is on ESPN. ESPN is owned by Disney. Disney is run by woke leftist tw*ts. Someone at Disney probably didn't realize there was a PPV coming up until after Israel went viral, and they panicked. The "scheduling conflict" was Joe agreeing not to be on the show so as not to cause trouble for the UFC.
But scheduling conflict my ass. Rogan was pulled from the show for political reasons.
