The Daily Mail reposts that in an interview with Yahoo Finance last week, Representative AOC (D-Twitter) decided that it had been a long time since she demonstrated just how worthless a college education is. She dusted off her little diploma, an economics degree from Boston University, and proceeded to projectile vomit idiocy all over the interviewer.

“When you toss out these big words—capitalism, socialism…”
Big words? For whom are these considered “big words”? I mean, maybe for AOC… But let’s continue.
“People translate them into meaning things that perhaps they don’t mean. So, to me, capitalism, at its core—what we’re talking about when we talk about that--is the absolute pursuit of profit at all human, environmental, and social cost. […] That is not a redeemable system for us.”
I love how she prefaces her statement by saying people often define these concepts incorrectly and proceeds to define capitalism incorrectly. And this isn’t the first time she’s called capitalism irredeemable, either. She’s such an irredeemable moron. I feel ashamed just because we’re the same age…
But as anyone who understands how capitalism works—outside of AOC’s delusional, communist fever dream—one cannot shirk any and all responsibility for humanity, the environment, and society and be successful in the free market. It doesn’t work that way. But AOC wants to paint capitalism as some kind of insidious force propelled by a few incredibly wealthy individuals who, by the way, she has to caricature, as well, to make her point.
She says “actual capitalists” capture governments, control everything we do. But that isn’t the case. No one is forcing you to buy Teslas and extremely expensive clothing, AOC. In fact, I’d rather you quit being a brat and pay off your student loans like an adult. Not a single businessman is holding a gun to your head to buy their products, pay for their services. In truth, the only people doing this are AOC’s friends in the government, who are holding people hostage at the point of a syringe, who threaten political opponents with censorship, who continue to steal our earnings in the form of higher and more unjustifiable tax schemes.
But then, even as Crazy-Eyes Cortez manages to look like an idiot, she hits on at least a little truth when she points out that several members of Congress have been trading individual stocks and making a killing.
“That is where we should be drawing the line. I am a member of Congress. Members of Congress have access to very sensitive security clearances, access to very detailed, tailored briefings. Our job is to try to anticipate and legislate for what we see is coming. We should not have the ability to both have access to that information and to hold and trade in individual stock.”
Congrats, AOC, we agree on something! However, associating the crooked behavior of her colleagues with capitalism is inane. It isn’t free-market capitalism when a ruling body trades on secret information related to the way they are going to effectively force the market to act. Unfortunately, she’s just too stupid to understand such a big word as capitalism.
Now, AOC, use that diploma of yours to wipe the stupid from your face, you're making a mess.
