Whistleblower Calls Out Congress and Capitol Police for January 6th Failures

Do you ever feel like the government is keeping things from us? Yeah, me either. But just for yucks, let's entertain the idea, shall we!

A new whistleblower has come forward to criticize Capitol Police leadership for failures prior to and during the January 6 riots. I know what you're thinking: "No way! Say it isn't so!" But as Politico reports, the leadership for the department "did not share vital intelligence with other police leadership and did not act to help officers once the violence began", and congressional leaders lied about it.

I'm just spit-balling here, but if AOC is going to make a show of calling for the resignations of congressmen who played no role in the riots, you'd think the entire Dem-controlled congress would have done the same to officers who had a part in allowing the riots to occur and stood by as they did, especially given how terrible the left has made Jan 6 out to be. But, no.

One of the officers mentioned by name by the whistleblower was given a temporary promotion following the riots! Acting Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman returned the favor by refusing to testify before congress about the events that day—perhaps due to the conduct contained in the whistleblower complaint. And what has become of her now? Not much. Though she's been replaced by a new chief, she is still the assistant chief in charge of intelligence operations!

The whistleblower's criticism also called out Congress, accusing unnamed congressional leaders of having "purposefully failed" to tell the truth about the department's failures.

"The truth may be valued less than politics by many members of the congressional community to include those that have made decisions about the leadership of the USCP post January 6th, but I believe the truth still matters to real people and certainly the men and women of the U.S. Capitol Police," the whistleblower wrote.

Remind me, what party controls Congress again?

The left claims everyone on the right is to blame for the events on Jan 6. Even commentators who weren't there and never once called for such actions. But when darlings of the Party (cue the hammer and sickle) might actually be at fault, well, they can do no wrong, and they get to keep their jobs, kept comfortably safe by politicians who "'purposefully failed' to tell the truth. I'm pretty sure we just call that lying.
