American's from sea to shining sea are still abuzz over NASCAR superstar Brandon Brown. It's been two weeks since Brown earned his first NASCAR Xfinity Series win at Talladega. Fans have been chanting "Let's Go Brandon" ever since. Including a favorite here at the Louder with Crowder Dot Com Website, Senator Ted Cruz.
The Senator was at the Houston Astros game over the weekend. Apparently, I've been asleep for the last ten years and didn't know the Astros are in the American League now, but that's beside the point. A race fan approached Cruz and asked the senator to please join him in celebrating Brandon Brown's monumental win. Senator Cruz is a man of the people, so he was happy to oblige.
Brandon Brown has reached unprecedented success. Not since Dale Earnhart Sr. has a NASCAR superstar so captivated the American people. Children praise him. O'Haire International Airport held an event for him. People are writing songs for him. You can even hear Brandon's name chanted at college football games.
Now, there are some cynical troublemakers living in these United States of America who want to co-opt the "Let's Go Brandon" chant for their partisan means. They wan't to turn it into "F*ck Joe Biden," a criticism of the president of the United States. We're not going to talk about that here. I'll talk about that at this link.
Let's stay focused on celebrating three things that make America great: NASCAR, baseball, and Ted Cruz. Cheers to Brandon Brown. Cheers to the Senator. And cheers to the Houston Astros. I may not follow the sport like I used to, but the Yankees fan in me mandates I still hate the Red Sox.
