Ted Cruz Drops Reps. Swalwell, Omar After They Accuse Him of 'Defending Nazis.' SPOILER: A Leftist Lied

Ted Cruz gave Merrick Garland a proctology exam live on C-SPAN. It was glorious to watch. Though, the headline on the left is that Ted Cruz literally defended nazis and goose-stepped out of the hearing room. That's nowhere close to what happened, but you know how Twitter goes. "Cruz makes a point about non-violent speech" gets turned in to "Johnny and the Mothers saw Ted Cruz give Merrick Garland the nazi salute." It usually starts with a lying leftist nincompoop. This time it's Aaron Rupar.

Rupar is notorious for taking Republicans grossly out of context knowing other low-information liberals will uncritically retweet him, and call it journalism. He did it to Cruz, but Cruz is better in the Jedi arts of Twittering.

I think we can all agree using any nazi reference in your argument tends to not work out for you. It doesn't work when Democrats use it against people who disagree with them. It doesn't work when concerned parents are speaking out against authoritarian school boards trying to indoctrinate their kids. Ted Cruz was ACTUALLY talking about the now infamous NSBA letter that referred to angry parents as "domestic terrorists." A sentiment that Joe Biden's White House didn't really push back on.

The letter claimed parents were getting "violent." Yet of the twenty examples cited in the letter, fifteen were just angry parents saying words loudly. A sixteenth was father upset his daughter was (allegedly) raped in school and the board tried covering it up. Cruz pointed to parents using the "salute" as an example of non-violent language. A point that Merrick Garland agreed with. So using leftist logic, Merrick Garland defends nazi salutes?

It doesn't matter. Rupar had the desired effect when his tweet went viral with the help of members of Congres: Rep. Ilhan Omar and Rep. Eric Swallows.

Ted Cruz did not casually defend nazis. But this is how fake news tends to start. Liberal liars lie. Members of Congress and mainstream media reporters swear by it. And they all say "hey, look at what Fox News is doing ..." to try and distract you from seeing their dishonesty unfold before your very eyes.

At the end of the day, Ted Cruz is still right. Merrick Garland is still a douche.
