Jen Psaki must be jealous of Joe Biden. The most popular president ever can turn his back and walk away from reporters as they shout questions about his Afghan incompetence. Psaki does not have the male privilege to do so. She just needs to take a shot of tequila straight from the bottle and stand at that podium. Wishing that any reporter would ask her about what a jerk Ron DeSantis is instead of anything having to do with the withdrawal. Monday was not that day. Of course, Peter Doocy pissed her off the most.
PSAKI: Does anyone have a question?
DOOCY: Yes. Does the president —
PSAKI: Anyone at all?
DOOCY: Over here. Does the president —

Her biggest gripe was with the word "stranded." Psaki believes, with how the White House is defining the word, no one is being stranded. But how the English language defines the word?
Set aside the incompetence and the chaos. Or that maybe America is no longer "back" on the world stage as advertised. Even put aside that when forced to choose between mean tweets or a guy with tapioca for brains, you may want to just say "I'm rubber and you're glue." It's been fascinating to watch the White House unable to deal when they can't count on the press to block and circle the wagons for them. But when Joe Biden goes up there and says things they know are not true, that are even confirmed to not be true less than twelve hours after he says them, even the American media has their limits. "Does the president not know what's going on" is the obvious question that needs to be asked. Even if it makes them feel dirty to ask it.
Joe Biden is expected to speak at noon today. I'm guessing Psaki will be hitting the bottle early and calling it brunch.
