Tough week for Democrats. Not only do we now have confirmation the most popular president in history is possibly the most inept president in history, now the FBI has revealed the Capitol Riot Insurrection which gave Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez flashbacks to a sexual assault incident, wasn't some massive plot to overtake the government and reinstitute President Donald Trump. Turns out, according to the FBI, most of the Capitol pillagers (my words for sarcasm's sake), were one-offs. Not associated with scheming masterminds like Alex Jones.
Though federal officials have arrested more than 570 alleged participants, the FBI at this point believes the violence was not centrally coordinated by far-right groups or prominent supporters of then-President Donald Trump, according to the sources, who have been either directly involved in or briefed regularly on the wide-ranging investigations.
"Ninety to ninety-five percent of these are one-off cases," said a former senior law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation. "Then you have five percent, maybe, of these militia groups that were more closely organized. But there was no grand scheme with Roger Stone and Alex Jones and all of these people to storm the Capitol and take hostages."
I'm so glad we had an investigation into this epic kerfuffle. Because based on what I saw that day via video posted on the Twitters was a bunch of upset voters ready for a little spontaneous cardio. Not so much a reenactment of the Handmaid's Tale mixed in with a little Black Hawk Down.
This isn't to diminish the seriousness of the day. People were injured and Ashli Babbit was shot and killed. That said, media and Democrats, especially the PTSD-stricken Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, have tried to make the CAPITOL INSURRECTION a much bigger and more serious deal than it ultimately turned out to be.
But as the FBI has now confirmed, it really was a spontaneous event, not a great plot put together in the cover of darkness by angry white men smoking cigars and evilly petting their cats, hoping to usurp Joe Biden.
Did we ever get any investigations into the 2020 mostly peaceful protests resulting in the destruction of countless businesses across the nation? Did AOC watch those mostly peaceful protests and get flashbacks, or was she just so far removed from Americans losing their lives and livelihoods she couldn't be bothered? Just asking.
