A Fully Vaccinated Couple Died from COVID, a Minute Apart, So Go Live Your Lives

A fully vaccinated couple in Michigan has died one minute a part. Based on the article, it seems like they were a couple that was very much in love. Both had pre-existing conditions and took precautions against the risks for COVID-19, including getting fully vaccinated. They both died of COVID-19:

The pair were also cautious when it came to COVID-19. They were both fully vaccinated and had been for months when, during a family camping trip this month, they began to feel sick.

Days later, the couple was hospitalized and on ventilators – both had preexisting conditions that made things even more dire. By this past Sunday, doctors were telling Sarah and the family there wasn't much more they could do, and the couple would likely need to come off life-support Monday.

They died one minute apart, holding hands.

This couple followed all the guidelines they were told to follow and they still popped positive for COVID-19, were still hospitalized, and still died from the virus. Let's also note as the article does they had pre-existing conditions, including a little extra padding which some would say meant there was simply more of them to love. Those conditions put them at an extra risk. At some point we must have the discussion about the importance of overall health and not rely on a drug to save us. I understand the conversation may not be now, but it should've been at least five years ago before all the fat pride / fat shaming nonsense occurred.

Whenever I hear people say "there's a reason for everything" I always think and often say "That reason is sometimes life just sucks." Throughout this entire ordeal, I've asked shutdown advocates: "How many Americans die each day?" Because usually the shutdown advocates only know what CNN tells them. On average 7,700 Americans die every day. They just die. They may die from a common illness, of old age, in a car crash, cancer, or a freak gasoline fight accident. The moment ovum meets sperm, a clock is set. We do not know for how long it will tick. But death comes for us all, no matter how many precautions you take against known risks.

People who wear seatbelts and drive cares with airbags can still die in car accidents. People who take the COVID-19 vaccine can still die from COVID-19. This post isn't one about taking the jab or not. It's to encourage people to live their lives while their clock still ticks. A vaccine will not always save you. We shouldn't put everyone's life on hold for this vaccine or any other measure meant to make life safer. We can't go through life bubble wrapped or expect others to bubble wrap themselves for our own sakes.

We're alive right now. We need to LIVE right now.
