Cori Bush Makes Unbelievable Claim Ferguson 'White Supremacists' Shot at Her. Ferguson Police Chief: Nope

The arguments in the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old kid who shot three men, killing two of them, while he was attempting to protect property and render aid to people during the Kenosha riots last year. The media has already tried their damnedest to twist the narrative to make Rittenhouse sound like a villain. And, of course, the former vice president already poked his head where it didn't belong—and this time it wasn't nuzzled against a child's face.

But the hatchet job would be complete without a rabid leftist in government running her mouth, and Rep. Cori Bush, never one to be shy about looking like an idiot, did just that.

"When we marched in Ferguson, white supremacists would hide behind a hill near where Michael Brown Jr. was murdered and shoot at us. They never faced consequences. If Kyle Rittenhouse gets acquitted, it tells them that even 7 years later they still can get away with it."

Bush faced immediate backlash for the tweet, but none of the virtual tongue lashings could be quite as amazing as the police simply calling Bush a liar.

Frank McCall Jr, the Ferguson Police Chief, was sought for comment on Bush's claims. Asked if there was any validity to the claims, he responded, "Not that I'm aware of."

As her ridiculous lies began to unravel, Bush enlisted the help of an activist friend who further embellished the story. I'm skeptical, to say the least. And I may be alone here—though, I don't think I am—but I trust the word of the police chief over a leftist lunatic.

But Rep. Cori Bush is going to do what she does best: lie and throw mud, hoping something sticks. And with the verdict of the Rittenhouse trial coming out soon (hopefully), I imagine there will be several more unhinged calls for a guilty verdict with various pleas linking something or other to racism. It's a theme the left seems comfortable with.
