American schools are not a place for free speech, the exchange of ideas, or free expression. Unless one is speaking in support of the leftist dogma, exchanging the same socialist ideas, and expressing how much they love radical organizations like Antifa and BLM. These are facts.
At a school in Brooklyn, MS 51—because I guess that qualifies as a name in NYC—English teacher Jeffrey Levy has been banned from wearing a shirt deemed "politically explosive" by the principle, a decision supported by the NYC Department of Education. The shirt in question featured "an Israeli flag framed by the words 'Proud Zionist'". The principle, an unscrupulous fellow by the name of Neal Singh, explained that "Zionism involves the retaking of Palestinian land and is 'offensive'."
What isn't offensive are the various other politically charged shirts teachers at the school are allowed to wear, like those promoting Black Lives Matter, radical feminist movements, and other woke causes.

Americans Against Antisemitism leader Dov Hikind wrote a letter ripping the politically slanted decision.
"How insulting. This is sick. This is pathetic. This is anti-Semitic. You can't say you're a proud Jew and supportive of the people and the state of Israel? [The city DOE is] representing the extreme left, the radical wing of the Democrat party. There should be one standard for all. But this is what's going on in our city."
He's 100% correct.
And antisemitism is not some rare aberration in New York. It's pervasive. Everyone, including, obviously, this school district, wants to believe the BLM line that anti-black racism is prevalent in the US, but antisemitism and actual violence against Jews is far more so.
Levy might want to watch out, though. It's only a matter of time before the public schools start aiming the FBI gun at those within their ranks who don't want to toe the party line.
