Watch: Momentary Truce Over Pizza Devolves Into Brawl Outside Rittenhouse Courthouse

Watch: Momentary Truce Over Pizza Devolves Into Brawl Outside Rittenhouse Courthouse

Pro-Rittenhouse and Black Lives Matter protestors outside the Rittenhouse trial came together yesterday over a slice of pizza. It was a truly momentous occasion. However, what could have been a profound instance of national healing, facilitated by pizza supplied by a capitalist giant, was simply not to be. It was nice while it lasted, though.

For a little over a minute, it really looks like cooler heads will prevail. It's difficult to be mad when you're stuffing your face with delicious pizza—although, I don't believe the Louder with Crowder dot com blogger Brodigan would much appreciate me complimenting Dominoes. [BRODIGAN NOTE: Actually, Dominoes isn't completely terrible and it looks like they splurged for Brooklyn style]. A few men even come together to shake hands and complement one another.

But when one Anti-Kyle protester feels the need to start bickering, the moment is quickly destroyed, and the unrest and distrust seems to come over the crowd in an unstoppable wave.

The result? Several protesters were arrested.

As the trial drags on into the jury's third day of deliberation, it seems a foregone conclusion that more scuffles like this will break out amongst the crowds gathering outside. I don't imagine we'll see another moment of unity over pizza, but one can certainly hope.
