AMA Goes Full Woke, Calls on Doctors to Use "Equity-Focused" Language Over "Science" and "Medicine"

AMA Goes Full Woke, Calls on Doctors to Use "Equity-Focused" Language Over "Science" and "Medicine"

One would hope that after a weekend of Ibram Kendi getting dragged on Twitter the rest of the world would start opening their eyes to the idiocy that is critical race theory. But, alas, I set my hopes a little too high. The American Medical Association (AMA)—those doctors who should be concerned only with keeping people alive and healthy—decided to jump right into the woketarded deep end, prescribing medical professionals begin using "equity-focused" language.

Because when my leg is broken, I want to know my doctor and nurses are going to be addressing me by my desired pronouns and recognizing my personal truth—and they better mark my charts with the gender M3A3 fighting vehicle, or I'll get extremely irate!

All joking aside, this is ludicrous. The document published by the AMA tells professionals (and, at this point, I use this word loosely—these people shouldn't ever be taken seriously) to used words originating from various woke studies programs, like "critical race theorygender studies, disability studies, as well as scholarship from social medicine." And it even goes so far as to make suggestions. The list isn't short, but one stuck out: replace vulnerable to oppressed.

"Doctor, who is most at risk of dying from COVID?"

"Well, certainly all those fatties. They're quite oppressed to COVID."

They also seek to redefine able-bodied in relation to disabled: it should be non-disabled… Should we start referring to the sane as non-insane?

We like to think the sciences are immune to the woke language and the attached implications of adopting it, but they aren't. This is just another step in an evolutionary process. It wasn't long ago that the myth began that obesity could still be healthy.

Reality must fall under the weight of wokeness before it can be remade in the image of the ignorant and unhinged. Once every institution of rational thought and objectivity is razed to the ground a world of utopian bliss is sure to rise from the ashes. And if the progress being made in medicine is any indication, one can probably assume we'll be back to blood-letting and chewing on tree bark to exorcise evil spirits soon enough.
