Sheriff's Department Issues Concealed Handgun Permit to Santa Claus, But Not Everyone is Happy About It

It's rough out there this Christmas season. In liberal cities across America, people suffering from the pandemic are taking advantage of liberal laws that have made stealing legal-ish. At least, anything under a thousand bucks. It's gotten so bad, Santa Claus has decided to protect himself. He strolled into the El Paso County Sheriff's Office in Colorado. I'm assuming he was in town to give mall Santas performance evaluations. Santa applied for his concealed handgun permit, and got it! It's not every day you see Santa Claus wanting a gun. The sheriff's office celebrated this rare occasion.

Not everyone is happy with Kris Kringle being able to protect himself. As the New York Post reports, random idiots on Twitter are outraged:

"Santa has a fvcking [sic] gun is what you’re going with? Should I show my child this pic? Will it comfort them? Will they love Santa more? Who is this tweet for?"

"Posting this tells me your professional judgment is impaired."

"What is your message to children here? There is enough anxiety among children already."

The sheriff's department was forced to clarify they were just trying to spread some yuletide cheer to their hardworking staff. And that they apologize to anyone who was offended.

I'm happy for Santa Claus and am glad he's taking precautions. I don't know if they have a second amendment in the North Pole. But we have one in America. Santa Claus has the most important job on the planet. All the good little girls and boys are counting on him to bring presents. If the bad little girls and boys think they are going to take the presents from themselves, Santa has a present waiting just for them. Merry Christmas!
