CNN Employee Charged With Enticing Underage Girls to Engage in Sexual Activity

As reported by Mediaite, John Griffin, 44, an employee of the uber reputable news outlet CNN, was indicted Friday by a grand jury in Vermont on three counts of “us[ing] a facility of interstate commerce to abuse underage girls.”

What exactly does this charge entail? It turns out, according to the indictment, Griffin used the chat apps Kik and Google Hangouts to message parents who had minor daughters, telling them that “a woman is a woman regardless of her age,” and because “women should be sexually subservient and inferior to men,” they should send their daughters to him so he could properly train them.

These activities occurred from April to July 2020. In June 2020, Griffin managed to convince one mother of 9- and 13-year-old girls that the daughters should be brought to him for the aforementioned purpose. He sent the mother $3000 for plane tickets, and when they arrived in Boston, he sexually abused the girl.

This man is sick. The overt chauvinism is something that makes a modern man cringe, but the abuse of a young girl, and with the permission of the mother, is unconscionable. One hopes the mother has also been or will be charged with a crime soon. There’s no reason she should get away with serving up her daughter to be raped.

This comes out after Chris Cuomo found himself permanently canned from his job over at CNN, partially because he was helping his brother Andrew Cuomo, performing damage control during Andrew’s own sexual assault scandal, and partially because Chris is currently alleged to have sexually assaulted a coworker at some point.

What the hell is going on over there at CNN?!
