Latest Joe Biden Brain Nugget: We’ll Totally Be Flying at 12-15 Thousand Miles Per Hour

Biden is continually saying stupid things. Whether he just misremembers what he had planned to say or simply doesn’t know what the sounds coming out of his mouth mean is the real question. Regardless, neither a poor memory or a mushy brain made of pudding are qualities one wants in the leader of the free world.

At a commencement speech at South Carolina State University, Biden stood before the graduating class and opined on several topics he wasn’t equipped to talk about, one of those being future air travel when describing future technological developments.

“You’re going to see us traveling commercially, in the next 20 years, at 12- 15 thousand miles an hour, subsonic speeds—supersonic speeds.”

That seems really fast, y’all. The only commercial aircraft to travel at supersonic speeds was the Concorde a number of decades ago. Now, it would be neat to have it back, but even supersonic speeds only go up to 3,806 miles per hour. The fastest manned aircraft ever travels at Mach 6.7, or 5,140.7 miles.

Don’t think I knew what these speeds were—I had to look them up. But I knew to look them up because the idea that human beings will be traveling commercially at speeds of 12,000 miles per hour was patently insane!

I wish I could have seen the look on some of the graduating engineering and physics students’ faces.

“What the hell is this moron talking about?”

“I don’t know, man. Just clap so he leaves.”

Numbers are hard for Biden, and they only seem to be becoming even harder. Someone fetch this poor man an ice cream cone and a wicker rocking chair or something. The last place he needs to be is giving speeches.
