Steve Scully, Presidential Debate Moderator, is Caught Tweeting Anti-Trumper Before Second Debate

The scheduled debate for next week has a giant question mark over it. The commission said, right after Mike Pence beat Kamala Harris, the presidential one was going to be "remote" to protect everyone from the 'rona. Trump said nuts to that. Joe Biden offered to reschedule. The Trump Campaign said yes. Then the debate commission said there will be no changes. But now there is another problem. Debate moderator Steve Scully, whose integrity is already being called in to question, tweeted anti-Trumper Anthony Scaramucci about Trump.

Or, accidentally tweeted him. Be more careful with your DMs, bro.

I'm usually not a fan of complaining about the moderator. I always assume they are against us. Working the refs to me is a sign that you know you're losing. Also, letting a former Biden intern get named as a moderator to begin with means someone from the Trump campaign dropped the ball. But these now deleted tweets happened LAST NIGHT. Seven days before the debate is at least theoretically going to happen. A guy who is moderating a debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden is communicating with a notorious anti-Trumper. A guy from a media that has already proven to be anti-Trump, who already has ties to Trump's opponent, is working with someone who hates Trump.

Blatantly too. Like, everything we assume is going on anyway, Steve Scully just confirmed because he doesn't know how direct messages work. Even more maddening is that the rest of the media will act like this isn't a big deal. All while still not understanding why so many Americans don't trust the institution, think they're all horrible at their jobs, and otherwise suck at life.

It's rare to be surprised anymore following politics. But, dude...really? Steve Scully still being allowed to moderate proves Trump right about everything he says about he fake news.
