Joe Biden is currently at double digits in a lot of the polls, but some are questioning those polls' accuracy. Partly because of 2016. Partly because of the utter and stunning lack of public enthusiasm for the Biden-Harris campaign (see JOE BIDEN LASHES OUT AT CBS NEWS REPORTER, THEN INSULTS HIM PERSONALLY and LAS VEGAS 'LATINOS FOR BIDEN' RALLY IS JUST SAD). This apparent photo of a Kamala Harris event in Florida isn't going to help matters.
If I were to guess, a low-level communications staffer is probably telling a local Florida reporter somewhere that the event was designed not to have a lot of people. You know, to make sure they didn't catch the 'rona. Which would totally explain the staging, the light, and the giant Bidentron 3000 so that the tens of people in attendance can watch from anywhere in the ... car dealership?
Seriously, I'm not one to give Democrats campaign advice, but whoever the advance guy is that greenlit this event needs to be blacklisted from politics. Unless he works for the car dealership as his main job, and the entire event was just to attract customers as they look to unload inventory. Gotta make room for the 2021 models, know what I'm saying? Maybe that is the case, and if so then the guy should be blacklisted for marketing and promotion. Setting up a wrestling ring and getting a few guys from the local wrestling school could have drawn a much better audience.
Public polls scream a good night for Joe Biden. Most of the anecdotal evidence says that there is no way that can be true. The only bet I'm willing to make for Election Day is my lack of sobriety.
