School Board Monitoring Social Media Post of Parents, Reporting ‘Aggressive’ Posts to Their Employers

School Board Monitoring Social Media Post of Parents, Reporting ‘Aggressive’ Posts to Their Employers

As a precursor to sicking the FBI on parents, it looks like some people had tried silencing parents on their own. I mean, if there are a group of domestic terrorists out and about, what is one to do? Just let them keep terrorizing? So, the Rochester Community School Board in Michigan decided to do what they could to shut parents up.

According to OutKick, the school board teamed up with district superintended Robert Shaner to creep on parents’ social media, using whatever they found to be “concerning” or “aggressive” to call up their employers. And, of course, the only reason to do this is to get the parents fired. One parent actually did lose his or her job. But the posts weren’t concerning or aggressive. They were just critical of school policies as regards shutdowns and remote learning.

This isn’t just scuttlebutt, either. After a lawsuit was filed in May 2021, Shaner was deposed last month, saying, “Yeah, so again, I just want to be clear about the social media. We do watch it and try to make sure we know what’s going on in our community, but that’s not the only place that we get information on social media. […] We value the input of all parents, and we certainly want to keep our thumb on the pulse of the community, so we monitor social media very closely on all fronts and make sure we’re responsive to the community”

What he meant was that they want to know who to target in the community, so they make sure to comb social media for people saying stuff of which they don’t approve. And they appreciate input from parents who agree with whatever they do, and all those other ones should be fired from their jobs and lose the ability to support their families. What a conniving little prick.

Of course, this method was inefficient, and not long after this approach failed to produce desired results, the unions tugged on the leash of the federal government and told them to let loose the hounds.

The school boards, administrations, and teachers: They don’t like you. They don’t like when parents criticize their failures or question their policies. They certainly don’t like when you mess with their money. They think you should just sit back, show them the respect they deserve, and let them ruin your children as they see fit.

Don’t let them do it. Parents all over the country are pulling their kids from the public schools, and if you haven’t yet, I really wish you would. Not for political reasons, per se (although, the benefits on that front are manifold), but because children and parents should be subjected to that kind of evil.

Do it for yourself. Do it for your kids. And when you do, make sure to tell them exactly why you’re flippin’ them the bird.
