OJ Simpson Sounds Off on Oscars Slap, Understands Where Will Smith Was Coming From by Defending His Wife

My rule of content is that a story is never over until OJ Simpson offers his thoughts on the issue. No matter if it's the Capitol Riots, defending a cop over a stabbing, or CNN analyst Jeffrey Toobin who wacked off in front of coworkers. The jokes and memes continue until "The Juice" shares his thoughts. Only then can a story be put to rest. Consider Will Smith playing Happy Slapsiving with Chris Rock put to rest. OJ has opined.

Will Smith was wrong to resort to violence. However, OJ understands the sentiment of wanting to defend your wife and/or slap comedians.

"I understood the feeling. In my life, I've been through a lot of crap [...] every comedian in the country had an OJ routine. Don't think I wouldn't want to slap a couple of those guys. But, you've got to accept that it's humor."

You youngbloods may not know who OJ is. He was an all-star running back for the Buffalo Bills. He is an actor who co-starred in the Naked Gun trilogy. And in the 1990s, he was accused of stabbing his ex-wife and his ex-wife's boyfriend to death. Though he was found not guilty by a jury of his peers, so I guess that's that.

OJ was set to release a book in 2006 called If I Did It, where Simpson wrote about if he had stabbed his wife to death, which he didn't do, but if he did how he WOULD have done it. But it was canceled and his ex-wife's estate bought the rights to it.

OJ now lives his best life on Twitter as a political and cultural commentator. Simpson gets Will Smith's motivation in slapping Chris Rock. No one wants to hear their wife shamed and embarrassed like that. But learn to take a joke. Just like OJ does.
