Kathy Hochul is a trailblazer. She became the first female lieutenant governor to be appointed governor after the real governor got yeeted for sexually harassing a bunch of other women. On Monday, Hochul shattered another glass ceiling, becoming the first female governor to get booed out of Madison Square Garden during a cheap publicity stunt before a NY Rangers Game. To "celebrate" Women's History Month, someone thought it would be a good idea for Hochul to drop the puck. I guess they thought the heart of New York City would be a safe space for her.
Nope.
I haven't seen anyone get booed out of the Garden like this since Razor Ramon before he "sold out" and went to WCW. RIP Scott Hall.
Hochul is a horrible governor. Andrew Cuomo was an authoritarian douche with the blood of tens of thousands of MeeMaws and PopPops on his hands. She kept up the tradition of Cuomo's anti-science mandates, turned up to eleven. Even as other Democrat governors followed the political science and unmasked our children (Republican governors were already following actual science), Hochul kept the cruel policy for as long as she could. Maybe it was because she's a wholly-owned subsidiary of teachers' unions. Or maybe she just has a weird fetish for creepy photo ops.
If you are a Democrat operative in New York looking to get your foot in the door, there might be an opening in the governor's office. After last night's debacle, the governor is probably looking for a new advance team.
Also, let me say that Rep. Lee Zeldin is going to make a great governor. I've interviewed him/done some work with him dating back to when he was a state senator. He's exactly what the state needs. Very similar to Ron DeSantis. Only better, because he's from Long Island.
