Swimmer Who Tied Lia Thomas Embarrassed, Told by Officials: 'We Just Want Lia to hold the Trophy'

The NCAA isn’t happy just allowing a biological male to destroy women’s sports. The organization also needs to make sure it’s doing its best to push the spectacle in front of cameras every chance it gets. Having a photograph of Lia standing atop the podium for the 500m freestyle wasn’t good enough, though. They had to get Thomas out there for another one.

Thomas tied with Riley Gaines of the University of Kentucky during the 200m freestyle. They tied for fifth place (more than likely because even Thomas knew winning every single event might convince people to ban transgender women from women’s sports). When the competitors prepared to take possession of their trophies and go to the podium, officials from the NCAA gave the 5th place trophy to Thomas, a slight to Gaines that seems extremely unnecessary, as Thomas already had the first-place trophy from the 500m swim.

“Hey, I just want to let you know, we only have one fifth place trophy, so yours will be coming in the mail,” the NCAA official said, adding, “We went ahead and gave the fifth place trophy to Lia, but you can pose on the podium with the sixth place trophy.”

In an interview with the Daily Wire, Gaines says she was taken aback.

“We just want Lia to hold the fifth place trophy,” said the official.

Gaines responded, “I don’t think that’s that’s [sic] right, and I don’t think that’s fair. There’s no dispute that only one of us can hold the trophy, but I think given the circumstances, you’re just trying to save face a little bit.”

And it’s safe to say, Gaines’ take on this move is on-point. The NCAA seems bent on pushing Thomas in front of whatever cameras they can, celebrating the beautiful bravery of a male stealing accolades and opportunities from some of the best female athletes. One would think such an organization would fight to protect women’s competitions, but they haven’t, and Gaines certainly isn’t the only swimmer speaking out about Thomas, either.

This could have all been avoided if people weren’t idiots, but there’s a particularly virulent brain disease eating away at cerebellums all around the world, causing people to forget that males are males and females are females and there are some pretty notable differences between the two. We need to get Fauci and Pfizer working on a vaccine for it.
