Ron DeSantis signed Florida's "Parental Rights in Education" bill into law on Monday. Critics call it the "Don't Say Gay" bill. Critics also say Joe Biden has dementia, but the media only listens to certain critics. Thinking that the bill literally outlawed saying the word "gay" in Florida, Hollywood made one last effort to protest the bill at the Oscars by saying "gay." Wanda Sykes's exact quote was, "Gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay." America's Governor was not moved.
DeSantis signed the bill anyway. And if Hollywood degenerates are angry about it, he's done his job.
"If the people who held up degenerates like Harvey Weinstein--up as exemplars and as heroes and as all that--if those are the types of people that are opposing us on parents rights, I wear that like a badge of honor."
It was a solid hit. I feel like DeSantis could have worked another Hollywood favorite, Jeffrey Epstein, into it, though. On a related note:
Harvey Weinstein is the legendary Hollywood producer who raped half of Hollywood while the other half of Hollywood looked the other way. Weinstein was also a prominent Democratic donor while Democratic politicians pretended not to know what the words "open secret" meant. Critics say Weinstein isn't the only prominent Democratic donor and Hollywood sleazeball as much as he is one of the few to be exposed for it. Celebrities who are part of the Hollywood machine continue to look the other way at their own industry, while attacking parents who believe: "Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards."
DeSantis can either pander to Hollywood or work with parents. America's Governor chose option B. If you'll indulge me in citing a meme that has already been run into the ground in record time, Ron DeSantis is Will Smith and his Hollywood haters are all Chris Rock.
