Last week, University of North Texas’ Young Conservatives hosted Jeffrey Younger as a speaker. Younger has been labeled "anti-trans" by liberal activists. As is common when people who have different opinions speak on college campuses, liberals didn't behave well. They chanted "f*ck you fascist" at Younger as if he were a prime minister shutting down citizens' bank accounts for peacefully protesting.
New video has surfaced from the event, and as it turns out, the initial video was misleading, and the protesters were more coo-coo for Cocoa Puffs than originally thought. This is how your typical progressive argues against ideas they don't like.

Jeffrey Younger gained notoriety after he lost custody of his 7-year-old son James over not wanting him to transition while the boy's mother was encouraging him to transition a) behind the father's back, and b) it wasn't even what his son James wanted. It's a controversial issue. There are some, like the judge in the case and, apparently, the specimens in the above video, who believe it's normal for a 7-year-old to change genders and view people like the elder Younger who disagree as transphobes for thinking 7 years old is too young for life-altering surgery. It's important to consider both sides.
I still don't understand the anger displayed by these wackadoodles. It's been a few years since Jeffrey Younger had his parental rights taken away by a judge. He hasn't been in the news. It's not like Younger has a significant voice in our current political discourse. He's not Ron DeSantis passing a law that says sexual instruction shouldn't be taught to children in third grade and younger.
If I could offer these angry activists some advice, it's might be helpful to be more selective in how you use your outrage. When you go right to crazypants over any speaker with which you disagree, it doesn't bring people to your side like you may think. It only makes us laugh at you.
