But this is the tale of Sgt. Maj. Thomas "Patrick" Payne, a Ranger who helped rescue about 70 hostages set to be executed by Islamic State militants in Iraq.
A reporter for the Associated Press just shared the helmet cam footage of this stunning raid.
I know most of the media today is going to be focused on a Rorschach test based on how much you like or dislike the commander in chief and how much you believe or don't believe anonymous sources. I'd rather focus on Sgt. Maj. Payne's stunning bravery. May God bless him and his brothers.
