As God as my witness, I will never understand why "peaceful" protesters thinks threatening people driving their cars and making them fear for their lives is helpful to their cause. It never works out (see RIOTERS BLOCK, ATTACK TRUCK AND HORSE TRAILER, DRIVER RUNS THEM OVER and EVEN MORE RIOTERS ATTACK A DRIVER IN AN SUV, AND EVEN MORE RIOTERS GET PLOWED). Especially when most of the time, the drivers don't even know about the protest. They're just trying to get home, like this Prius driver in Hollywood. Who turned the corner and found a group of people I'm assuming were angry about Breonna Taylor's boyfriend opening fire on police officers. It's hard to tell who is peacefully protesting what these days.
If an unhinged, angry, violent mob of peaceful protesters surrounds your car, you should be in your legal right to close your eyes and put the pedal to the metal. It becomes self-defense at that point. We sarcastically say "peaceful protest" to mock the left and the media using those two words unironically. But any time 100 people surround one person, screaming and threatening that one person, it's not peaceful or a protest. It's that person trying to get home safe to their family.
