Charles Barkley is a unicorn in sports, entertainment, and media. He's someone who is not afraid to tell the truth, put facts in front of his feelings, and worst of all, go against whatever narrative the left has settled on (see CHARLES BARKLEY HAS SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT ATHLETES WHO DON'T KNEEL THAT WILL TRIGGER LIBERALS and CHARLES BARKLEY BLASTS ANTISEMITIC ATHLETES AND RAPPERS: "WHAT THE HELL ARE Y'ALL DOING?"). As opposed to, say, people like LeBron James (a guy that will never be as good as Michael Jordan) who don't even have the courage to say that killing cops should be frowned upon. Maybe it's because Barkley is an oldhead who has saved up enough "f*** you money" to where he doesn't care what you think. But he doesn't let the mob dictate what he says.
These comments about Breonna Taylor were particularly brave. The narrative is that cops busted into her apartment without knocking and shot her while she was sleeping. The facts, as we've just found out (more on that below) don't back that up.
Sir Charles also thinks "Defund the Police" is some white people sh!t.
I know the left is going to go on the unhinged attack anyway. It's all they know how to do. But Barkley isn't even dismissing the social justice activism outright, as he's supported it in past interviews. But in this specific case, the facts don't match up what the leftists are trying to put out there. Those lies lead to a lot of the peaceful riots we see on a daily basis. If more people like Charles Barkley had the courage to speak up, we might be able to seriously have some of these important conversations we need to be having.
