If there was a Pulitzer for pathetic, shameless, sanctimonious pandering, Claire McCaskill would be a shoo-in. McCaskill, best known for losing her 2018 Senate race and blessing us with Josh Hawley, claims she and her family are starting a new Independence Day tradition. They are going to rewatch footage of the January 6 riot. Normal Americans haven't thought about January 6 since January 7. McCaskill isn't a normal American. She's a Democrat. And she's going to shill for her party's talking points with every fiber of her being.
We're going to start a new family tradition in my family; on the Fourth of July and every Fourth of July going forward, we're going to watch that video the New York Times put out on January 6th.
To recap January 6, that was the day senators and congressmen voted to certify Joe Biden's electoral results. Some people outside the Capitol did some things. They attempted to stop the certification. They failed because Joe Biden was certified the winner anyway. And Democrats have been trying to politicize it ever since. Your typical Democrat speak involves a noun, a verb, and a January 6.
The awkward silence from Joe Scarborough and Willie Geist says it all. Their mouths may not have made a sound, but you could hear them thinking "bitch, please." I'm sorry, "every Fourth of July?" If she would have just said they're doing it this year, it would be pathetic but at least believable. "Remembering" the events of January 6 every year from here on out defies reality.
Rep. AOC is less overdramatic. Nancy Pelosi won't even be talking about January 6 after a month or so. After the polling results come in that the American people don't care. And Democrats try gaslighting everyone that it's really Republicans who won't let January 6 go.
If you are thinking about anything this weekend other than beer, BBQ, and blowing stuff up, you're being American wrong. Don't be like Claire McCaskill. No one likes people like Claire McCaskill.
