Robin DiAngelo is one of the reasons woke white sh*tc*nt liberals are so obsessed with race. DiAngelo, who is white, wrote a book called White Fragility the says anything and everything white people is somehow racist. White libs applauded. Her follow-up book, Nice Racism, calls out white liberals for their racism. That book isn't doing as well on the charts. Go figure.
DiAngelo needs to remind her fanbois that she's one of them. So the "woke scholar" decided to lash out about comedy, which she calls an excuse to be racist. Here's the full interview if it matters. I'll stick with the clip from Mythinformed MKE.
So comedy is, I think it's an excuse to get to be racist. And I think shows like 'Family Guy' and 'South Park,' and maybe a little of 'The Simpsons' allowed white people to be racist. Allowed white people to be racist self-consciously. Like, "I know I'm being racist but it doesn't count."
This shows how low energy and little thought she put into it. DiAngelo chose the three most common shows liberals have complained about over the past few decades. Had her head not been lodged up her rectum when she developed this theory, she would know that both The Family Guy and The Simpsons have caved and pandered to people like Robyn.
There is a concept in comedy called "punching up," not "punching down."
There is no such concept in comedy. At least, not among working comedians. Failed comedians who now write blogs attacking funny comedians, maybe. But as far as people with a sense of humor and an ability to craft jokes, absolutely not.
It doesn't invoke a deep centuries-long history of oppression when you poke fun at white people. But it's very different when you poke fun of people of color.
I wonder where Robin DiAngelo stands on jokes like this Dave Chappelle bit making fun of white liberals like Robin DiAngelo.
This assclown is why the boss says comedy is more important than ever now. Comedy is one of the last bastions of free speech. It's how the people can speak truth to power. Actual power, like a White House that wants to eliminate free speech. It also helps release some of the pressure people like DiAngelo create by dividing Americans into groups and playing them against each other. You can't hate someone while you're laughing with them.
Robin DiAngelo knows all this. She also knows if she didn't have something to call racist, she'd have to go out and get a real job.
