It's not every day that the speaker of the House gets called out by her archbishop for being a pro-abortion hypocrite. But not every speaker of the House sucks at life as much as Nancy Pelosi does. This is the same Nancy Pelosi who claims she outranks bishops. And has old-lady meltdowns when you ask her when life begins. Yet she'll say with a straight face that she's both a "devout Catholic" and an abortion fangirl. Nancy Pelosi says everything with a straight face. It's because of the Botox.
San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone says Nancy Pelosi is a bleeding idiot if she thinks her pro-abortion stance is sending her anywhere other than hell. Those weren't his exact words, but you know he was thinking it. His exact statement was more professional.
Let me repeat: no one can claim to be a devout Catholic and condone the killing of innocent human life, let alone have the government pay for it. The right to life is a fundamental – the most fundamental – human right, and Catholics do not oppose fundamental human rights. To use the smokescreen of abortion as an issue of health and fairness to poor women is the epitome of hypocrisy: what about the health of the baby being killed?
Silly Archbishop Cordileone. The babies don't give Nancy Pelosi lots and lots of money like Big Abortion gives to Nancy Pelosi.
Cordileone was referring to this laughable statement from Pelosi.
I can't be pro-abortion. I had five kids. I'm just saying, if YOU wanna have an abortion, I won't stop you. Also, the government should pay for your abortion. But don't you dare call me pro-abortion.
You have to give Pelosi a modicum of credit. It takes balls to lecture the church that pro-abortion means good Catholicism. And not just Chuck Schumer's balls that she keeps in her purse next to the sucking candy. But no. You can't call yourself a "devout Catholic" while being a tireless advocate for abortion favorites like Planned Parenthood.
If Nancy disagrees, she can take it up with St. Peter. And all the unborn children waiting to have a word with her.
