Watching someone sell out in front of your very eyes is sad. I would never call myself a HipHopHead, but I was always able to appreciate a good jam when I heard one. Juvenile's "Back That Thang Up" was one of those jams. "Was" being the key word here. The rapper has remixed it for a more 2021-friendly "Vax That Thang Up." I honestly don't know what's worse: the idea of Biden sending people door to door to harass you about arm jabs or this.

The song tells a story about how you will not be allowed to have sexual relations if you have not gotten your shots. Classic lines like "Girl you look good / won't you back that thang up / you a big fine woman / won't you back that thang up" have become "dating in real life, you need to vax that thang up / Feeling freaky all night, you need to vax that thang up." There is a dirtier version of the original lyrics, but I enjoy having a job.
Let's put aside the blatant condescension toward an entire community. And the fact that the song sounds like an idea white liberals came up with because they think it's the only way to appeal to those "urban" areas. Does anyone honestly think people haven't been having sex for this entire time? Arm jab or no arm jab. Mask or no mask. 'Rona or no 'rona. People haven't stopped fornicating. If you think they're suddenly going to stop until their partner does what Joe Biden tells them to, you're probably the progressive PR firm who thought this was a good idea.
