I'm sure you've noticed that flu numbers, during the pandemic, are at an all-time low. I want you to think why YOU think that is. It's probably the same reason as I do. Once you have your reason, press play. Because Alisyn Camerota and Dr. Paul Offit, Director of the Vaccine Education Center in Philadelphia, disagree.
CNN IDIOT REPORTER: Wow, there's no more flu. That, like, totally has to be because masks or social distancing. Right?
CNN DOCTOR: If we mask and social distance every winter, we will see a dramatic reduction in flu, which usually causes hundreds of thousands of hospitalizations and tens of thousands of deaths. I wonder whether that will be the lesson from this.
Really, Doc? You think that wlll be the lesson learned from this?
To be clear, according to Dr. CNN here, the reason ISN'T because we count almost everything as COVID these days. The reason why the rate of flu has been dramatically reduced is because of prevention measures for a virus we were told was not the flu. Prevention measures that haven't done the best job for the virus they were supposed to prevent. And if you said THAT virus was just like the flu, you were most likely labeled "fake news" by big tech. Or promoting conspiracies.
I wonder, and this is just my opinion. By all means, make sure you stay abreast of all the latest from the CDC. But I wonder if it's still promoting conspiracy theories to say that there are people who don't want anything getting back to normal ever. Justin Trudeau has said it's a great opportunity for something we'll call a Rate Geeset. Anthony Fauci and Bill Gates are who they are. Just yesterday, Joe Biden said he HOPES to get back to back to normal by this time NEXT year. Which if you're doing the math, is over 700 days after fifteen days to flatten the curve. Maybe it's time to refresh the crinkles on my aluminum foil scally cap.
It may sound silly to jump to a conclusion because of one doctor saying a stupid thing on CNN. It also seemed silly jumping to conclusions to say they were going to tell us to double or triple mask up.
