Theater Cancels 'Cinderella' Because Too Many White People Were In It

A dinner theater in Minnesota announced a performance of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. Yes, the one about the Disney princess who loved shoes. Presumably, there was an audition process for the role. There were people in charge of casting and deciding who got what role. Most likely, there were rehearsals at some point before opening night. At some point during the process, someone discovered that there were too many white people in the cast. So the theater canceled the performance.

In a release, Chanhassen Dinner Theatres said its staff and leaders "believe unapologetically" in their decision to replace the performance with one "Footloose!"

"It was 98 percent white," Michael Brindisi, the theater's artistic director, told the Twin Cities Pioneer Press. "That doesn't work with what we're saying we're going to do."

Cinderella was canceled for being too white ... so they're replacing it with Footloose?

The theater promises to be better in the future and pledges to have a more diverse hiring practice. Unclear is how many African-Americans auditioned for roles and were passed over, if any. Or how many were even interested in auditioning. Maybe it's just me, but when I hear the words "dinner theater," I also hear the words "white people sh!t." It's right up there with eating mayonnaise and Dawson's Creek marathons.

Or, the ultimate example of white people sh!t, faux wokeness so pasty-ass leftists can revel in the smell of their own farts and signal their virtue for all to see. So great, in the name of curing racism, you canceled a performance based on a Disney cartoon. While everyone involved gives themselves "attaboys" or "atta-xis," normal people of every race and creed are giving the theater a multicultural eyeroll.
