Tucker Carlson Perfectly Summarizes Joe Biden's Address in Three Words: 'How Dare You?'

Joe Biden gave his first prime-time address on Thursday night. Someone on Twitter called him the "Commander in GRIEF," which seems apropos. You could call it his State of the 15 Days to Flatten the Curve Address. Which he delivered almost a year after those fifteen days to flatten the curve. Biden's old boss used to be about "hope." Biden was full of hope too. He hopes that if we listen to him, he'll give us some freedom back by the Fourth of July. President Biden is no President Whitmore.

Tucker Carlson was not amused. All the money in my pockets says most other Americans weren't either.

If you take your shot, wear your mask, and listen to Dr. Fauci, it is possible — not assured, but possible — that you might be able to get together IN SMALL GROUPS with the ones you love for the Fourth of July. We MIGHT have to rescind that right, but it's possible if you're obedient you'll get it.
Who are you talking to? This is a free people, this is a free country. How dare you tell us who we can spend the Fourth of July with?

Carlson's main point of contention was this passage of the speech. Someone working at the White House wrote this and thought this would inspire patriotism. I don't know if (alleged) dementia is contagious, but the person who wrote this is a nincompoop.

... by July the Fourth, there's a good chance of you, your families and friends, will be able to get together in your backyard or in your neighborhood and have a cookout and a barbecue and celebrate Independence Day. That doesn't mean large events, with lots of people together, but it does mean small groups will be able to get together after this long, hard year.

One of the problems with the pandemic, besides all the mistakes that experts made and all the suffering caused by those mistakes, is the constant moving of goalposts. As I alluded to before, masks and lockdowns were just supposed to be for fifteen days. That was over a year ago. The "experts" and "leaders" who support those restrictions keep pushing back the time when we can expect them to be lifted. Joe Biden originally said, "100 days to mask up." Now he's saying maybe if we're lucky, we can have a BBQ on the Fourth of July. Only, he is still going to limit the number of people we're allowed to have at the BBQ.

SPOILER: A lot of us had a BBQ this past Fourth of July anyway. You may have noticed an extra number of fireworks going off. One for every politician who said no fireworks because of the 'rona.

I haven't turned it on yet, but I guess MSNBC and CNN are singing Biden's praises right now. Claiming that this is how a leader is supposed to act, as opposed to the other guy. Telling free people if they keep quiet and do what they told they MAY be able to have a party four months from now is NOT how a leader acts. It also shows the president of the United States has a gross misunderstanding of who Americans are.
