'Putin is Shook Now': State Department Uses 'Hashtag Diplomacy' Against Russia, Gets Wrecked By Twitter

Russia's minor incursion into Ukraine is scheduled to start any minute now. The State Department has called for the Ukraine embassy to be evacuated. Americans are being told that America might not be able to help them if they stay behind. Joe Biden is on the brink of Afghanistan 2.0 and refuses to answer questions from the press. Things are looking bad, but at least the State Department has a hashtag campaign! That'll learn Putin!

Yes. Yes, we are returning to "Hashtag Diplomacy." In 2014, the last time Russia attempted to push us towards World War 3 with an invasion of Ukraine, the State Department fought back with hashtags. Conservatives seized on it as we are known to do when the left does something embarrassing, and "Hashtag Diplomacy" was born. The irony here is many of the people in the Obama administration responsible for HAshtag Diplomacy are back working for Joe Biden. This includes our favorite soulless ginger, Jen Psaki.

When I was in high school, our Greenpeace chapter wrote a petition to Saddam Hussein saying how angry we were that he ruined the environment with oil. That was the dumbest thing I heard until "the promise of hashtag." Jen Psaki proving she doesn't understand how hashtags work didn't help matters.

Just like conservatives seized on this eight years ago, so too are we seizing on it today. Sure, the story could be all the ways Joe Biden and his party's incompetence got us here. That should be the story. But I guess conservatives seizing on that incompetence is important, too.

Unavailable for comment is Vladimir Putin. He must be busy.

The only thing is for Joe Biden to explain, aloud, that the pound sign stands with Ukraine. Much like how he explained to Americans how to Google. We only have the best and brightest running things.
