These Three Tweets Show How Little Patience John Cleese Has for Cancel Culture

These Three Tweets Show How Little Patience John Cleese Has for Cancel Culture

It's the prerogative of the perma-offended woke twats (my new favorite phrase) to troll Twitter looking for people using the wrong words or saying the wrong things. Some people choose to be useful members of society. These people choose not that. For some reason, they chose yesterday to go after John Cleese. Yes, that John Cleese. Monty Python/Fawlty Towers/Great Muppet Caper John Cleese.

What set this off I'm not sure, because the original offended person deleted his tweet. I guess the actor didn't get that week's update with what new words are offensive, and instead of apologizing, used it as a teachable moment about how silly it all is. Or he just doesn't care, nor should he. As you read these, make sure you think of John Cleese reading them to you. It's like a one-way trip to your funny bone.

Here's my question. Because it's safe to assume that Cleese isn't on our side politically. Neither are the people at Barstool Sports. Neither is any other left-leaning person the radical leftists are going after for not having that week's wrongspeak update. Or for saying the wrong thing years earlier before it was the wrong thing to say. At what point do they realize the right is the side that supports their free speech? Even if we disagree on every other issue, we're not the ones on the attack over a tweet or looking to destroy them because they use their platform for something other than promoting the progressive agenda.

The right still enjoys Monty Python. The left wants episodes of Fawlty Towers deleted over one of the jokes in it.

Come to our side, John Cleese. We have delicious cookies biscuits.
