Mayor Mandates 14-Day Quarantine if You Travel to Washington DC. Umm ... Does That Include Politicians?

The arbitrary enforcement of lifesaving 'rona regulations rolls on. A popular one is mandating 14-day quarantines if you travel from a bad state to a good state, though even that depends on how popular you are (see CNN WANTS YOU TO BELIEVE CHRIS CUOMO HAS JUST COME OUT OF QUARANTINE. THIS TIMELINE PROVES OTHERWISE... and ELON MUSK SAYS MANDATED QUARANTINE IS A VIOLATION OF OUR RIGHTS). Mayor Bowser just decided that there are 27 bad states that, if you travel to our nation's capital from, you need to quarantine. However, only if you are nonessential.

Side note: Am I the only one who upon hearing Mayor Bowser thinks of this?

You youngbloods probably go with Super Mario, but for me it's Sha-na-na. But this is all beside the point. We're here to discuss the latest arbitrary 'rona quarantine with a question. You have to quarantine if you traveled to DC for nonessential reasons. Does that mean if you traveled there for essential reasons, you can't give anyone the coronavirus? Because this reeks of rules for thee but not for me.

There are 27 states on Bowser's list. That means 54 senators, probably over a hundred congressman, plus their staffs. I'm assuming they are considered essential, even though that's debatable. It's not important for them to quarantine. But if you were planning on going to see one of the monuments from Wisconsin, you would need to sit in your hotel room for two weeks first. Also, be careful because leftists are trying to destroy the monuments. They can't catch COVID while doing that, yet if you wanted to go to church while you were in town, you would need to wait outside if there were already ten people inside the church.

Chicken wings aren't a meal. A sandwich is, but a hot dog isn't sandwich. Though that may be more a New York thing, where our regulations are made depending on how big of a dick NYers made Andrew Cuomo look like.

I may be beating a dead horse here, but again, if you want to know why so many American's aren't "taking the virus seriously," it's because most of the people we're supposed to trust have abused that trust with arbitrary, seemingly political guidelines. If the 'rona isn't serious enough that politicians traveling from California don't need to mandatory quarantine, you shouldn't have to either.
