As soon as the CEO of Goya said something nice about President Trump, you knew the woke mob was going to be coming after the company. At this point I can neither confirm or deny Goya becoming the new official sponsor of Taco Tuesdays here at the compound. While the outrage and calls for a boycott weren't surprising, it was somewhat surprising to see UFC 251's Jorge Masvidal speak out in the company's defense. Both in the political aspect and also because if you follow the UFC, you know the welterweight has had a pretty busy couple of days.

To be fair, this may be less about politics than about hunger, because my dude had to cut twenty pounds in six days. This was him earlier today:
Masvidal winning the title will be interesting, because the media loves going after a public figure who even remotely brings up something political, especially if it's anti-progressive. As it is, they're trying to turn him into a labor leader because he spoke out against the pay scale in the UFC. Plus he's at the very least heavily insinuated that he likes Donald Trump (see JORGE MASVIDAL: DONALD TRUMP IS A 'BAD MOTHER F***ER' and UFC 251'S JORGE MASVIDAL EXPOSES THE TRUTH ABOUT COMMUNISM). It will be curious to see if it continues.
At the very least, you can guarantee someone will ask him about this at the post-fight press conference after he baptizes Kamaru Usman and takes his title.
