Her name was Secoriea Turner.
She was shot and killed outside the Wendy's where Rayshard Brooks was killed after attacking a police officer (see THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT FULTON COUNTY DA PAUL HOWARD and YOUTUBER EXPLAINS WHY HE QUIT HIS JOB AS A COP. HINT: IT INVOLVES RAYSHARD BROOKS). Protesters have been occupying the area ever since. Secoriea's father, after being confronted by "a group of armed individuals," went to turn around and leave. At some point, the group opened fired, and 8-year-old Secoriea was killed. There's as many as two gunmen still at large. Secoriea's father wants to know: Did his daughter's black life matter?

They say black lives matter. You killed your own. You killed your own this time. ... They killed my baby because she crossed the barrier and made a U-turn. You killed a child. She didn't do nothing to nobody. ... You killed an 8-year-old child. She ain't did nothing to no one of y'all. She just wanted to get home to see her cousin. That's all she wanted to do. She just wanted to get home.
The part that really got me was "she would have been in TikTok dancing," because my niece was over yesterday and doing the same thing.
Maybe the left will surprise me. Maybe there will be murals painted of 8-year-old Secoriea. Maybe all the woke white twats destroying statues in the name of black lives mattering will remember to #SayHerName. I doubt it, though, because the only lives who matter to the left are the ones they can score political points off of. Plus protests are so last June and they're back to being focused on how COVID is going to kill us all.
I pray for justice for the Turner family.
