Matthew McConaughey and Russell Brand Blast Leftist Disdain for the Working Class

Congratulations, leftist doucheburritos. Your extremism and disdain for anyone not a leftist have turned off Russell Brand. Matthew McConaughey has always been alright, alright, alright with us. But Brand? He at one point was an admitted socialist who blamed capitalism for ISIS. Though he did star in what is one of the funniest all-time movies, Get Him to the Greek. So, like, you take the good and take the bad and all that.

McConaughey joined Brand on his podcast. The discussion turned to the far left's attitude toward "working people." Brexiters in England, and Trump supporters here in the US of A. Enjoy.

ALDOUS SNOW: We live in a time where there's this sort of condemnation and criticism of what I might describe as ordinary working people. "Oh, they're dumb, they're voting for Brexit, they're voting for Trump." I don't like it, and I don't like to hear it. I've spent enough time with people that have been described in this manner to feel ill at ease with it.

WOODERSON: There are a lot on that illiberal left that absolutely condescend, patronize, and are arrogant towards the other 50%.

Good talk. Albeit, one with a heavy bit of bothsidesism. You may not agree with everything Brand and McConaughey said. But my guess is, you're not calling for either one to be canceled after a public flogging. You, who is likely a conservative, might be on the extreme right. But the extreme right actually hosts discussions. The extreme right does far more listening than the cancel culture disciples we see on the left.

The left is now so extreme, two celebrities felt compelled to call them out for it. Hollywood shakes their fingers at the extreme right all the time. Nothing new there. But to even hint maybe the left is a bit extreme in their treatment of others? Dang, son. Cultural movements don't blow up overnight. They begin with trickles. Could be what we have here is only the beginning.
