Back in the olden days, Joe Biden used to run with a guy who told people to "hope." People in 2020 were full of hope. We hoped it would only be fifteen days to flatten the curve. We hoped our elected officials weren't making arbitrary political decisions. Both were a mistake. More recently, we hoped a vaccine would get things back to normal.
