Late-night host John Oliver is on board with the abolish the police movement, and now he's decided he's against police unions. Why? Because of the hindrance to the left's dream of eliminating the police.

It's worth noting that Oliver defended labor unions many times in the past, so to single out one union arbitrarily is weak AF.
Besides, where is Oliver when teachers are relocated instead of being fired for sexual misconduct with students? Is that not a serious problem that goes unpunished because of a union?

Historically, unions were instrumental in creating a safe and fair work environment for American workers. But unions have evolved into something much different and will leave behind a much darker legacy.

To be clear, union reformations should happen across the board. And if Oliver spoke out against all unions, he would be correct in his assessment, but that's not what he did. Instead, his argument fell flat. If Oliver made the case that all unions protect the most dangerous employees and therefore should be dissolved, that's OK, but that is not the point he was making.

Steven Crowder offered common ground solutions to the issues associated with police unions.
