Three Things You Need to Know About Fulton County DA Paul Howard

On Wednesday, Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard announced charges against the officer involved in the shooting of Rayshard Brooks. Eleven charges in all, including felony murder. Now, if you're wondering how you get felony murder when there's video that shows the officer acting in self-defense, you're probably like most people outside CNN and liberal activists right now. But let's take a look at who the district attorney is who filed the charges.

1. He's apparently a scumbag.

Make sense of this one. If a cop is using a taser, it's a deadly weapon. If a suspect is using a cop's taser against the cop he stole the taser from, that taser is not a deadly weapon. It's the entire rationale behind the felony murder charge. Forget a jury of your peers; I think even a jury of Howard's family members would call bullshit here.

3. He's a liar about one of the other officers turning state's witness.

Or is a liar at least according to that officer's attorney.

Let's just skip ahead to the jury finding the defendant not guilty of felony murder, because the prosecution couldn't prove felony murder, but everyone spent the year thinking the officer was going to go to jail for felony murder, because the district attorney kept saying felony murder. How does that turn out for the city of Atlanta?

Or the other shitty option is the officer gets railroaded, because the Atlanta government has made it clear that social justice matters more than actual justice. That's where we're at right now.
