You knew it was bound to happen. It was only a matter of time before the world's greatest chant crossed streams with the world's greatest living former president. We came close when Don Jr. acknowledged what crowds were chanting. On Saturday, red-blooded, patriotic Americans had the moment we were all waiting for. Donald Trump attended game four of the World Series in Atlanta. Braves fans welcomed Trump with a rousing rendition of "Let's Go Brandon! Clap clap! Clap clap clap!"
Trump was amused.
The Braves won the game on Saturday with Trump in attendance. They could have won the world series on Sunday, but without Trump in attendance for that game, they lost. You do the math.
"Let's Go Brandon" is of course the quote/unquote "coded language" Americans are using instead of saying "F*ck Joe Biden." Unclear is if Atlanta fans were chanting to amuse the former President or in protest of Joe Biden's lies costing the city the All-Star game earlier this year.
Chanting "Let's Go Brandon" in crowds has become our new National Pastime. You can either appreciate it for what it is and join in the fun, or you can have a giant Louisville Slugger stuck up your keister and find yourself storming the cockpit of an airline demanding to know why the pilot said what he just said.
The first option is a lot more fun. More importantly--and I can't stress this enough--at the end of the day, f*ck Joe Biden.
