If you watch the media outside of Fox News and a tweet thread from an Associated Press reporter, you would think that the peaceful Portland protests are nothing but peaceful Portland protesters protesting peacefully in Portland. The buildings on fire? They were like that when the protesters peacefully got there. Ignore everything else you may have heard (see 'PEACEFUL PROTESTER' IN PORTLAND ACCIDENTALLY SET ANOTHER 'PEACEFUL PROTESTER' ON FIRE and WATCH THIS US ATTORNEY SWAT DOWN THE MEDIA ON THE PORTLAND RIOTS, ONE TALKING POINT AFTER ANOTHER). I don't know what the deal is with Trump banning TikTok, or if he even can. But if for some reason there's nothing embedded anymore when you read this, click the YouTube link.
Here's the thing I find most interesting. As far as I can tell, the user isn't a political TikToker. This and a video on Goya were really the only two "political" videos he had. But the left has gone so radically to one direction, the (presumably) center is starting to call them out on it. Or at the very least, seeing what ripe targets they are for satire.
I know the words "center" or "centirsts" are considered cuss words by some. But that's where elections, arguments and debates are won. Finding common ground with people in the center is how you bring them over to your side. Possibly even learn a thing or two yourself as well.
