Dana White is my second favorite president behind El Presidente, Dave Portnoy. If there was ever a Portnoy/White ticket, I would sign on as a general consultant. But White supports another president, the current American one, Donald Trump. He's speaking at the convention on Thursday and hasn't shied away from his support at all over the past four years (see AT HISTORIC UFC 205, DANA WHITE MERCILESSLY MOCKED ANTI-TRUMP PROTESTORS and UFC PRESIDENT DANA WHITE ENDORSES DONALD TRUMP'S RE-ELECTION).
Dana was asked about the convention speech, his support, and how he manages to deal with people who hate Trump and don't like his support. Long story short, f*ck them. But I feel he makes a broader point.
First of all, betting over what color shirt a speaker at a political convention is going to wear puts the DEGENERATE in degenerate gambler.
But the rest of what he said is more important. Dana White likes Donald Trump. He associates with people who hate Donald Trump. And that's the entire story. Dana believes what he believes and doesn't care if you don't like it, because he's a grown-ass man and this is America. Other people he knows think the opposite of what he does, and yet they all still get along. Shocking, if you go by what you read on Twitter.
Social media isn't a real life. Having a life outside social media, politics, and especially politics on social media is healthy. We can all use that reminder once in a while.
