Shukri Abdirahman is running against Rep. Ilhan Omar in 2022. Like Omar, she's a woman and a Somalian refugee who came to America for a better life. Unlike Omar, Shukri doesn't hate America. Here's her first ad introducing herself to the electorate. Other Republican/conservative districts need to take notes. This is how it's done.
"Ilhan Omar was given a second chance when America took her in — but chose to ridicule the very country that saved her life. When I was welcomed as a legal American citizen. I responded by joining the U.S. Army. Now I’m taking a stand to give hope to the people of Minneapolis."
Abdirahman served in the US Army. Found herself and her children homeless. Yet, pulled herself out of it because she's seen too many in a similar situation become "enslaved" by the government. Abdrirahman's belief in the American dream never wavered. Contrast that to Omar's belief that was never there. She has spent her time with The Squad claiming that dream doesn't exist.
And notice how Shukri goes balls to the wall. Too many times the GOP runs candidates in deep blue districts that are only slightly to the right of the radical leftists they're looking to defeat. Abdirahman is confronting the violence in Minneapolis caused by radical left-wing policies head-on. AND she's even tackling the border crisis head-on.
This is the only way conservatives can expect to win in these deep blue areas. We might be looking at a new congresswoman in the fall.
