Bill de Blasio Said that Protesters Don't Have to Social Distance Because ... Racism?!

I'm going to toss right to the clip. Because while Bill de Blasio has been an unbridled douche this whole 'rona panic time (see ANGRY NEW YORKER CALLS OUT BILL DE BLASIO'S HYPOCRISY ON COVID-19 and BILL DE BLASIO GETS CALLED OUT FOR BEING A FAILURE IN HANDLING CORONAVIRUS), this clip answering a question about why protesters don't need to follow social distance guidelines but everyone else does and can get arrested for not? Just ... wow.

This started as a joke about social distancing. Everyone was making it. "Turns out the thing that kills COVID is rioting and looting." "No one cares about social distancing any more." This asshole just endorsed it. Because either one of two things is going to happen. Either there is not going to be an outbreak, and people's livelihoods were destroyed for no reason whatsoever. Or there is going to be an outbreak in what is already the coronavirus capital of the world, and a state that is just starting to let people get back to work is going to tell them they can't again. Or, the state is going to "try" to tell people. Good luck getting compliance now, you assholes.

My Uncle Eddie passed away a little over a month ago. 95 years old. World War II veteran. He was only allowed ten people at his funeral — five at a time — because of the shutdown. Remember, we were #allinthistogether. Yet people ran rampant rioting in the streets and looting through New York City Monday night, and that was totes cool for the mayor of New York City.

If you rounded up all the dicks in the five boroughs and put them in a bag, it wouldn't be big enough for de Blasio to choke on.
