People dying alone due to the lack of common sense from the government has been the worst part of the pandemic. It was horrible two years ago when people started to realize we were overreacting. It's unconscionable two years later, and of course, it's what's happening in Australia, the land down under, where women go and are literally told "this doesn't have to make sense." Children are being told they can't visit their mother on her deathbed. They're all vaccinated. They all did the "right thing" as mandated by the state. But now the state has a new restriction.
"We were told a month ago that three months was optimistic. That was a month ago. Her condition has deteriorated since then and fairly quickly, unfortunately. [...] They won't allow the kids to see their mum, and they won't allow my wife's mum to see her."
Jo Gittos is sitting alone in a hospital bed. All public hospitals in Western Australia were placed on "red alert" on Wednesday. Premier Mark McGowan, who you may remember for being this dickhead, says the new restriction will only be about a month. As we all know, when the government says something will only be for a certain amount of time, they mean it! Even if they totally mean it this time, husband Nick says his wife doesn't have a month.
Nick was given an exemption. His children were not. Again, they all did the "right thing" according to the government and got vaccinated. Now, the government is saying they can't say goodbye to their mother as she dies alone in a hospital bed. Australian doctors are fighting for more common sense when it comes to visitors. Australian politicians view common sense as anti-science.
Government should NEVER have this much control over citizens. Pay attention, America. The people who control Joe Biden would behave no different if we let them.
