States are starting new rounds of COVID lockdowns, since apparently everybody wearing masks isn't cutting it. Which says nothing about the side that supports lockdowns and masks to begin with is saying the quiet parts out loud (see JUSTIN TRUDEAU EXPOSES TRUTH ABOUT PANDEMIC, TELLS UN IT'S AN OPPORTUNITY FOR 'GREAT RESET' and FAUCI LETS HIS MASK SLIP, FLAT OUT TELLS AMERICANS "DO WHAT YOU'RE TOLD"). Restaurants are shutting down again. Masks that most people wear anyway are mandated harder. Politicians claim the "science" and the "experts" guide their arbitrary decisions over where the virus hangs out without a whole lot of proof. Spoiler: The virus appears to be at my gym and favorite bar, yet not at super-spreading events supporting Joe Biden.
With everything going on, the president addressed the nation last night. Barstool President Dave Portnoy, the only president who matters.
Here's what I find most absurd. I live in one of the bad states under rule of a tyrannical governor. You know, Chris Cuomo's idiot brother. My gym is half empty, we're all masked up, and it eves shuts down in the afternoon for extra cleaning. Restaurants around here are half empty even at 50% capacity, and everyone does the charade where you put the mask on as you walk and take it off as you sit down. This jive that "we know where it's being spread: gyms, bars, and restaurants": If that's even true, it would appear all the regulations you've put in place aren't working. Regulating more and better isn't going to work. Not to mention, we no longer believe the politicians who want to regulate us more and better.
Let El Prez's emergency press conference also be a reminder, a lot of what we talk about here is through a left vs. right lens. It's good to see where the center is, just for comparison. In this case, it is clear the center is on the side against the government telling you who you can and can't see for the holidays. Remember that the next time you are on Facebook and your leftist friend who demands government regulations because they're afraid to leave the house tries to say you're the selfish one because you believe in freedom. Or want to see family members on what could be their last holiday.
